Taking the Baths

Our last fall show of the year takes place outside of Saratoga Springs, at the Washington County Fairground in Greenwich, NY. Since Greenwich is a tiny little town, we are staying in Saratoga Springs, at an old motel with a sulphur spring! They have a spa here where one can take a Saratoga Springs bath, and I am very tempted to try this out. Perhaps it will be my treat to end out the festival season!

Now I am off in the rain to welcome the exhibitors to the grounds. Maybe a little treat is in order right now as well...

Hey Amanda, nice to see what you are up to. I am not a blog visitor as a rule but jumped in from the Sara Palin protest email you sent. I'll be glad, as will many, when this goofy election theater is over and we can get on with the important stuff that needs to get done. Hope the rain stops and the show is a good one. Love, Kathy Fairchild

Y'know, we have hot springs all around here - not surprising since we live near a volano. But reading your post today I had one of those "Duh!" moments, not having given any thought before this to the idea of seeking one out for my own bathing pleasure. I know the "wild" ones can be dangerous (fumes, changing temperatures suddenly) but I've heard someone mention one at a resort not far from here. Maybe a good weekend getaway for relieving stress and warming as the weather turns cold. Thanks for the idea!
